On-device setup

Three installation steps

  1. 1

Park, connect power, and join Wi-Fi

Keep the car parked and the comma device powered. If another software project is installed, follow its uninstall or reset flow first.

  2. 2

    Choose Custom Software

After the device restarts into setup, select Custom Software when that option appears.

  3. 3

Enter the URL for your device

Copy the exact value from the matching card below, enter it on the comma screen, and follow the on-screen installation steps.

Before driving

  • Confirm the screen shows sunnypilot and the expected branch.
  • Review the project's settings and safety information.
  • Check your exact car, year, trim, package, and required harness.

Using comma three?

The current project list does not show a stable comma three release. It lists an unfinished version for experienced testers, so this page does not present it as a normal install choice.

Check current branches

Need help choosing first?

Check your car before installing. Device support alone does not establish support for every year, trim, driver-assistance package, or harness.
