Install stock openpilot with the default installer, custom stable URL, nightly, or a specific branch.
Prerequisite
Factory reset first if you are switching from another fork:/how-to-uninstall-comma-3x-software/
Install options
Option 2 (custom URL, stable)
Choose Custom Software and enter openpilot.comma.ai.
Option 3 (nightly/beta)
Choose Custom Software and enter installer.comma.ai/commaai/master. This branch is less stable.
Option 4 (specific branch)
Use installer.comma.ai/commaai/<branch-name> such as installer.comma.ai/commaai/release3.
What happens after install
- - Device reboots automatically after install.
- - Follow on-screen setup for car pairing.
- - Complete driving calibration before normal use.
Post-install checklist
- - Calibrate on a flat road with clear lane markings.
- - Pair to comma Connect if you want cloud features.
- - Read official docs before changing advanced settings.
