Install StarPilot

Use StarPilot's main installer on comma four, comma 3X, or comma three, then finish setup while parked.

Get the installer
Start with StarPilotStarPilot's guide calls this the stable default. The Dom branch is for active development and stays out of this normal setup path.

On-device setup

Three installation steps

  1. 1

    Park and connect to Wi-Fi

    Keep the car parked and the comma device powered throughout setup.

  2. 2

    Reset the current software

    On comma four, swipe to confirm the reset. On comma 3X or comma three, tap the reset option.

  3. 3

    Enter the stable installer

    Choose Custom Software, enter the value above exactly, and finish the on-screen setup.

Before driving

  • Confirm the screen shows StarPilot and the StarPilot branch.
  • Check your exact car, year, trim, driver-assistance package, and harness.
  • Review the settings while parked before beginning a drive.

Want the Dom branch?

StarPilot labels Dom as unstable and warns that it may break. Use the stable branch above unless you have a specific development reason.
