Experimental Mode in sunnypilot

Lets the driving model attempt acceleration and braking decisions. This is experimental; mistakes are expected.

In Experimental Mode, the driving model attempts acceleration and braking decisions as well as steering. This can include attempts to slow or stop, but mistakes are expected. It is not a promise of traffic-light or stop-sign reliability.

Dynamic Experimental Control is a separate setting. With Experimental Mode active, DEC chooses when to use regular adaptive cruise behavior and when to use model-led acceleration and braking. Turning on DEC alone does not turn on Experimental Mode.

On comma four, Experimental Mode is under Toggles on the device; DEC is under Cruise in Sunnylink. On comma 3X, Experimental Mode is under Toggles and DEC is under Cruise.

These controls require support for sunnypilot to control acceleration and braking in your car. A disabled or missing toggle can reflect car capabilities or the installed software.
