Driving choices with a connected companion.
IQ.Pilot is community driving software for a comma device. Its Konn3kt companion brings additional ways to access and manage your setup.
IQ.Pilot companion service
Konn3kt is IQ.Pilot's phone and web companion. It can change supported settings, manage software, reach the device remotely, and review drives. Its core service is advertised as free, with route storage that has no time limit.
Change settings from your phone
Change supported driving, vehicle, display, network, and navigation settings. Bluetooth sync applies changes to the device and active IQ.Pilot services.
Install and manage IQ.Pilot
Set up Wi-Fi, choose a channel, follow installation progress, switch branches, refresh model bundles, and manage updates without using the device screen.
Back up and recover the device
Create and restore encrypted device backups. Recovery access can remain available when IQ.Pilot is stopped or cannot open its main screen.
Replay complete drives
View the map, cameras, alerts, steering, speed, driver checks, and planned path for one drive.
See the cameras live
View road, driver, and wide cameras from another device. You can also take snapshots and use supported live audio.
Check and reach the device
Use WebSSH, manage SSH keys, inspect live messages, and check processor temperature, memory, storage, battery, and network status.
Use supported remote car tools
Konn3kt offers remote vehicle controls for supported cars and hardware. IQ.Pilot also documents Volkswagen coding, checks, steering-unit updates, and recovery tools.
Store, upload, and share routes
Browse route files, request missing uploads, watch upload progress, and share selected routes. Konn3kt advertises unlimited encrypted route storage in its free core service.
Get Flock and camera alerts
IQ.Pilot warns about mapped speed, red-light, and ALPR cameras. It can also detect nearby Flock or ALPR hardware from Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signatures, even offline.
The documented data-ownership difference
Konn3kt's terms say you keep ownership of uploaded routes, video, and navigation data. Its policy says it does not sell personal information. You can delete routes and files or ask to delete your account. Comma's openpilot policy says comma owns data sent to it and can use or change that data. The policy also allows some sharing or sale of personal information. This difference does not prove comma currently sells drive video.
Konn3kt can replace some raw camera files with a compressed copy. Some account, service, and access records can remain for stated operating or legal periods.
