Is comma better than Toyota Safety Sense 2.5?
Consider comma for a supported car if the attention-checking approach and openpilot’s driving experience appeal to you. Do not buy it on the assumption that everything described for TSS 2.5+ also applies to TSS 2.5.

What your factory system already does
Toyota documents TSS 2.5 separately from 2.5+. Both include changes to collision assistance, and the applicable LTA and cruise functions need to be checked against the actual vehicle.
What could make comma worth it
For a commuter, compare lane centering, speed control and the attention reminders you actually encounter. Collision-avoidance feature lists answer a different question from which system you prefer for steady highway assistance.
What to check for your car
Confirm that the car has TSS 2.5 rather than 2.5+. Toyota’s cited precautions assign cruise curve-speed reduction to 2.5+ and 3.0; do not automatically copy that feature into a 2.5 comparison.
Are TSS 2.5 and 2.5+ the same?
No. Treat them as distinct packages and use the exact model’s manual. A nearby version number is not proof of identical features or comma support.
