Is comma better than Toyota Safety Sense C?
Check compatibility before considering a comma purchase for a TSS-C car. Its factory feature set is a different starting point from the Toyotas people commonly show using openpilot.

What your factory system already does
Toyota treats TSS-C separately from TSS-P and the numbered generations. Its documented collision-warning, lane-departure and high-beam features do not by themselves establish the vehicle interfaces needed for comma.
What could make comma worth it
The appealing goal is more help with lane position and traffic. The first question, however, is whether your particular car can accept a supported installation. A recommendation for a TSS-P Toyota does not carry over to a TSS-C model.
What to check for your car
Look up the exact model, year and required package. If your configuration is not listed, do not buy a device on the strength of a TSS-C badge or a video of a different Toyota.
Can software alone turn TSS-C into TSS-P?
No. A software installation does not establish that the vehicle has the hardware and electronic interfaces used by a different factory package.
